Our sole aim is to make roads in our region safer for all users including drivers, riders, cyclists, pedestrians and anyone else on our roads.

We aim to reduce the number of casualties on our roads by increasing enforcement and education. We recognise that although safety cameras are essential in preventing collisions on vulnerable stretches of road and making drivers more cautious in these areas these do not address other issues such as drink driving, mobile phones or not wearing seatbelts.

While this can't be done overnight, there have been significant drops in the number of people killed or seriously injured on our roads every year. We hope you recognise that our message is clear - together we can and will reduce casualties.
