1 April 2007 saw the end of the netting off funding arrangement replaced with revised funding provision to incorporate the funding of cameras into the Local Transport Plan (LTP) process from 2007/2008. At the same time, safety camera functions have been absorbed into the broader road safety operations, thereby strengthening governance and local accountability arrangements. This intregrated appoach ensures that all available funding for road safety measures is used to deliver the best possible casualty reduction.
Public Attitude Surveys - These surveys were commissioned in 2002, 2004 and 2006 as part of the requirements set by DfT for the correct running of the operation.
